Yeah we all know, and it sucks. It's not even a quick launch anymore. I never use it. It's the same as having my favorite app as the first on the home screen, pressing home and then clicking the app. Awful change you guys made to something that was very useful in the previous generations.

I just received the second generation remote pro and find I'm in total agreement with the above comments that the previous remote pro was quicker since clicking "1", for example, would open the app immediately. With this second generation remote, now have to click the Quick Launch button, and even if the app is the first one listed, then have to click another button (OK) to open the app. Not nearly as "Quick" as clicking "1" or "2".
It would be nice if it were programmed for the Quick Launch button to open the Quick Launch overlay (as it does now) but that a subsequent click of the Quick Launch button within a second or two would open the first (already selected) shortcut in the overlay. If it did that, the OK button would not have to be used to select the first shortcut. Now a subsequent click of the Quick Launch button just closes the Quick Launch overlay.
I finally gave up on the quicklaunch button and just use the voice command like "watch youtube tv" and it launches the app. Roku's change to make us hit more than one button for a "quick" launch is pretty shortsighted
Hi Roku Community user,
Thank you for your feedback! We genuinely appreciate customers like you who share their thoughts about our Quick Launch feature. Please rest assured that we will forward this to the relevant team.
Please be advised as well that removing the headphone jack actually improves the battery life of the Roku remote. You can still use Headphone Mode with your Roku device by utilizing our mobile app or by using the Roku Voice Remote Pro.
We strive to ensure that our customers enjoy the best possible streaming experience. Your feedback will be promptly forwarded to our team for consideration.
Best regards,
Jharra
I can't believe the way Roku changed the Quick Launch function. I add my voice to all the other complaints. Told all users in my house to not press it.
PS I used to be responsible for user interface design at Xerox. We would never had made such a change. it Is not "Quick ". It is confusing as you can tell from all the comments. They must have let the Vietnam staff make the change. Big mistake. Programing there may be OK but not Design.
