Same problem. Software updated, unplugged and rested, and went through the IR setup. Still not working. Original remote paired with same TV. Nothing has changed. Please help! We have no other remote for the tv, so it’s either on full-blast or on the home page.
Our remote is not rechargeable; sorry for that misinformation. We have a battery operated remote, and have fresh batteries installed and confirmed.
Hi, @AR5home, greetings here in the Roku Community!
We appreciate you for informing us about the issue with your Roku remote, and we are here to provide further assistance.
To start with, please try resetting your Roku remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again and try to utilize the Roku voice remote feature to see if this will make any difference.
In the meantime, please consider using our Roku mobile app for temporary and backup remotes. For detailed instructions, please refer to our dedicated support article: How to use the Roku mobile app.
We would recommend trying to see if that resolves your issue. Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Jharra
There is no volume control on mobile app.
Hi, @Dpnsp2004 welcome to the Roku Community!
If you're still experiencing difficulties with the power and volume buttons on your Roku remote, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue and access the controls.
Once your Roku device is activated and set up, you can access the settings menu to configure your voice remote to control your TV. If your Roku device is connected to an AVR or soundbar, we suggest temporarily connecting it directly to your TV during setup to ensure successful detection of your TV's brand.
NOTE:
Please let us know if the issue is fixed or reply back to the thread for further assistance, we will be glad to help you.
Thanks,
Jharra
Roku seems to have a problem with LG TV brand. The codes for LG TV work intermittently. Somedays mute & volume control work and somedays they don't.
Just got a new backlit, voice remote & after setup have the same problem. Now my old remote that was working fine also has the same problem. Did you ever get this issue resolved?

Are they charged 100%. I thought mine was charged, but I charged it overnight, and much to my surprise, that completely fixed my volume/mute issues.
