Only Left and Right Arrows Working On Remote

I came home and tried to change the channel on my Roku TV but only the left and right arrows were working. I tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions on the Roku Homepage but still only the left and right arrows worked. I tried the last step which was to take the batteries out and unplug the tv. I did that and my tv won’t turn on. I tried new batteries and got the same result. I tried to connect through the mobile app but since my tv can’t turn on, it’s not detecting the tv to connect to. I’m frustrated, please help.

Thanks for sharing with us the troubleshooting steps you have provided to try to resolve the issue. We would be happy to look further into this issue, but we need more details. Kindly provide us with the following information:

  1. Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  2. Does the button sometimes work, or does it never work?
  3. Did the button ever work (when the player was new)?

Please keep us posted with the details.
