This remote is supposed to automatically recognize all Roku boxes--but not this one.
How do I get the remote code for this Roku box?
I'm attempting to get one remote device to control Roku, Samsung TV, and Yamaha soundbar.
Thanks for the info Tivoburkee--it led me to the solution.
Well...I was a little too quick to give up, and missed this line in the setup instructions:
If you find one or more keys do not work as you expect, start again at step 2--the remote will start with the next code in memory.
All three devices are now working. But I have one small problem: the red streamer-box power button on the top right does not turn off the Roku, even though the Roku responds by blinking when the button's pressed.
Guess I'll try some more codes...
All Roku devices (except sticks) respond to the same set of IR codes. You should be able to use any Roku code. Is there really more than one? TVs use different codes depending on the manufacturer, but not the boxes.
One-For-All lists these codes for Roku boxes:
33212, 33333, 44444, 55555
And here's a list of supported devices (notice the 4800X isn't here):
I guess there's either:
If anyone can suggest a UR brand that works with ALL Roku boxes, please let me know.
First of all, the only way the OFA remote will control any Roku is by IR, that means you need a line-of-sight to the front of the Roku box. It can't be buried behind the tv. Your OFA Roku code is only for OFA remotes that don't have numeral keypad to enter setup codes that use 0-9. So, it only uses 0-6 in its codes. Is this the urc-7935? The standard Roku code for remotes with 0-9 keypads is 03061.

Roku stand-alone boxes like the ultra do not have power commands, the only Roku model that did was the Roku 4.
Very Good! You have good knowledge
"Roku stand-alone boxes like the ultra do not have power commands, the only Roku model that did was the Roku 4. "
Ok, good. I guess I'm done 😰
Thanks again
