Navigation Buttons Not Working on Roku voice remote 2nd Edition

My Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd ed) is also only about 6 months old and the navigation and power buttons don't always work. Pressing the button real hard sometimes make them work, but not in all attempts. Really disappointed with this remote. I never has any problems with any of the other remotes I have (about 6 of them).  I didn't find any Help articles that were useful. Appreciate some help with this remote.

To get started, can you please try resetting your Roku remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds? After doing so, pair it again and try to utilize the Ok and navigational buttons to see if this will make any difference.

If the issue continues, please provide us with the following information to help us assist you further.

  • When did the issue occur?  
  • When and where did you purchase the remote? Was it purchased separately, or did it come with the device?  
  • Could you please provide the serial number of the Roku device or TV that is paired with the remote?

We will be waiting for your response and will closely monitor this issue.

Tried the reset, did not help. 

I did note that the problem seems to be more prevalent when using the Right arrow, have to press the button multiple times and very hard.  Sometimes the Up arrow has the same issue, though not as often. Other direction arrows seem fine. Also, while the Power button will turn the TV off it will not turn the TV on. These are all problems that did not exist until about a month ago.
This problem started about a month ago.
I purchased the unit from Amazon on April 24, 2024. Order # 113-0978766-2100202
It was purchased separately.

@tghedlin. I don't know why, but Roku is only ever interested in the serial number of the Roku streaming device, not the remote's serial number.  You can find it under Settings->System->About.
