My roku telling me to reset my remote but it doesnt have buttons its saying i should press
I unplugged my roku from my TV and now the screen on the TV is telling me to reset my remote by pushing the little buttons inside the battery case. There are no buttons. I have a simple remote not a voice remote. The volume controls are working but nothing else I press changes the screen. How do I reset a simple remote and reconnect it to the roku please?

Reset a Simple Remote by removing and reinserting the batteries.

Re: My roku telling me to reset my remote but it doesnt have buttons its saying i should press
Hi, @Sam85price
Greetings, and welcome to the Roku Community.
It seems like you have a Roku Voice Remote and not a Roku Simple Remote. I'm here to help you set up your Roku remote.
To properly pair your Roku remote to your device, let's follow the step-by-step instructions below:
- Reboot your voice remote - Home and Back Button for 20 seconds.
- Reboot your streaming device - Unplug your Roku device for 15 seconds and replug it afterward.
- Re-pair your voice remote to your streaming device - Press and hold the pairing/Home and Back Button for 5 seconds.
Note: Since you did not see a pairing button located in the battery compartment, the pairing command is to press and hold the Home and Back buttons simultaneously.
For more detailed steps and guides, you can visit this support article on How to set up and pair your Roku voice remote.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you have further concerns or inquiries. I'm here to help.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team.
