Iphone app requires a fee?

Read about the roku app for iphone

thought i would try it since I have two roku devices on two different tv’s

installs from the app store yet after initializing and successfully pairing to my wireless network it asks me to subscribe at a ridiculous 6+$ a week.

just to use the app?

I believe i will give my rokus to a friend and find another product

Well, I must apologize, I had deleted the apps that were popping up the subscriptions, and when I go back to the app store, they don't show but the linked app does and says open, so I tried it again and now it is working

Even the linked app doesn’t work

installed the linked “free” app

works on one keystroke to get you to roku home screen

then every keystroke takes you to a subscription signup

jeezuz christ how greedy are you roku???

We would like to look into this further so we can best assist you. Could you send us a screenshot where it asks you to sign up for a subscription? We also suggest you try to access the link provided by @renojim using a different web browser. Please be advised that The free Roku mobile app.

The official Roku app does not require a subscription of any kind. I don't know what app you're using, but it's not from Roku.
