Re: I can open remote to change batteries

Hi @Angelatoo22,

Greetings from the Roku Community!

We understand that you have a query on how to open the case of your Roku remote to replace the batteries.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of your remote (slide down the battery cover).
  2. Remove both batteries from the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the batteries with a new matching pair and test again.

For further references, you can visit our Roku support page here.

If the problem persists, keep us posted on what you find out!
All the best,

Chel

I can't open the remote either.  There is NO way to slide any part of the back (which is in ONE piece).

The voice pro remote doesn't  have replaceable batteries plain and simple. What it has is rechargeable batteries, look for usb port under the Roku name flag.

I can’t open mine either. Mine hasn’t got three lines to help with grip, just a smooth indentation. It’s like it’s glued shut 🤬

@Grl1, are you certain it's not a rechargeable remote with a pairing button on the back and a micro-USB connector by the purple Roku tag?
