I don’t see any explanation/description on how the backlighting activated ?

pick up the remote ?

voice activation ?

touch a button ? (I hope not)

separate, easily found button (i.e., separate from all other buttons) ?

Thank you for posting here and letting us know about your issue with our Roku Voice Remote Pro 2nd edition. We're here to assist you further.

To activate the backlight on a Roku remote, the following steps can be attempted:

• Insert two AAA batteries into the remote.
• Press any button on the remote.
• The light should illuminate for approximately a second.
• If the remote remains unused, the light will automatically turn off.

If the remote isn't lighting up, you can try these steps:

• Check that the batteries are charged and inserted correctly
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and replace the batteries

All I have to do is pick up my VRP v2 to activate the backlight.
