Re: How does the mute button on a Roku Remote function?
Follow up and some major success for me! I have an old Logitech Touch universal remote that I had squirreled away and, although I thought it was IR-only and on a lark, I decided to resurrect it and see if it would work with the Roku Ultra. Lo and behold the Logitech database allowed me to add the Roku Ultra as a device, build an activity based upon this device and it worked!
Thanks to all of you who responded, the system is doing what I want and didn't cost me anything to get it working!

I’m not sure if you already know this, but all Rokus except sticks will respond to IR commands, so your Logitech may indeed be IR-only.

Re: How does the mute button on a Roku Remote function?
My Roku remote will sometimes make my tv screen go black when I push the mute on my rechargeable remote. If I click the power twice, the screen comes back on. Which is going out, the tv, the Roku ultra LT or the Roku rechargeable remote? Crazy stuff. Thanks

Probably just a coincidence.
