Wow. This is the second time I have had to enter this because Roku locked me out. It's a "service" that just keeps on giving.
Had a Roku Ultra and the remote kept locking up. Had to constantly take batteries out and after doing that it would then activate all the buttons that I pushed while it was locked up. So, I bought a new one that is rechargeable and it is doing the same thing. And of course none of the suggestions worked so I got on chat and after 30 minutes left ... again.
I also have had issues getting into a couple of apps. All of the sudden the login credentials would not work. Couldn't reset the password. Deleting and reinstalling didn't work. Couldn't get a live body on support. I would wait and wait and finally would leave chat. Posted in Roku community and received useless suggestions - after all community is a bunch of random people. And every single time I have tried to use chat it tells me the volume is heavier than usual and I quit after 30 minute. If it's heavier than normal, isn't it just .... NORMAL and you need to hire some more people?
I ended up unsubscribing from Roku and resubscribing on Amazon. And now it looks like I'm going to return my Roku Ultras that I just bought, find a new service and cancel here. Totally useless if your products and services have quality issues and I can never get ahold of anyone to fix it or easily leave feedback.
Hello, @Stitch2001.
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We appreciate you reaching out about the difficulties you’re experiencing with your Roku remote. To better assist you, we would like to address this issue and provide some helpful troubleshooting steps.
Both were remotes that came with the Roku. All have paired fine and the issues started immediately. Two failing gives a 30% failure rate for the ones I have purchased. You can look at the serial numbers for the new ones when they are in your building next week. I notice that you're not at all addressing your **bleep** service problems. But, not my problem anymore.
