I just got a 4 pack of Roku Smart White bulbs, and none of them ever went into pairing mode.  I've tried them in 4 different styles of lamps in different locations, powered them on and off multiple times, multiple ways.

By the way, saying turn on and off 3 times is confusing because the 3rd off will leave it in the off state, but I saw the instruction video on YouTube not turning it off for the 3rd time, so I for sure did it the way it was supposed to work, but I powered it on and of and back on so many different ways that it had to cover the right way anyway.

I wish there was some sure fire way to get it into pairing mode since powering it off and on doesn't work, and even powering it for the first time didn't get it into pairing mode.

All these replies that keep suggesting the same things and don't say anything different from what I've already tried is really disappointing, especially since this product has been out for some time now.

Given the number of other replies saying they couldn't get their light bulbs to pair (even on YouTube), it seems there is some major design flaw with these bulbs.

To assist you further, could you please tell us when and where you purchased the Roku Smart Bulbs? What is the exact model of the device? Additionally, are these color bulbs or white bulbs?

I have the 4 pack of White Bulbs.

I purchased these bulbs online on December 8 from Walmart.com, and the pack of bulbs arrived the day I made the last post.

The box says model: BS1000P4R
The bulb itself says model: BS1000X
