Talked to support
They had me do a factory reset. It might have fixed the issue.
I will know for sure after letting sit overnight.
First, how old is your modem and router? Might be time for an upgrade.
Second, where is your TCL TV located compared to where your router is? Anything electronic or metallic between them like a TV bookcase, kitchen appliance? Is this new or has there been a good connection before this?
Could be a number of things but first to me would be does your router need to be upgraded?
I have gone thru all these steps as I mentioned, my router works perfectly for 6 other devices, only issue is with my roku tv also as mentioned, per research i am not the only one, hundreds of others are still questioning this issue, just hoping there was a fix by now..
The factory reset actually worked, when I woke up this morning, the Roku TV has internet without having to restart the TV.
Exact same issues. Software update on 7/23/2024 11:30PM (Central Time). Has been doing this since that update.
Randomly disconnects from Wifi, will search for available networks forever. Must System > Restart in order for Wifi to work, then it will eventually disconnect and be unable to find the network again.
Same results on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. No other devices in this house have this issue. Have restarted Router and TV multiple times. Very frustrating.

@RokuJharra-Q Any update? It's getting annoying to have to unplug my TV and plug it back in every time i want to watch something.
Have somewhat similar problem but only with the playback on live tv or roku channel. All others are OK. On live TV, i get the TG Guide, but when selecting a show, it just keeps spinning or a black screen.
My ROKU is unable to find wireless connection every time I turn it off, so I have to go through all of these steps daily just to turn it on. My other ROKU tv is fine, but the main family ROKU tv is not. Other solutions, please? I have unplugged it multiple times for several minutes each time, but still have to follow all steps above to get it to find my very strong wifi.
