I have several Roku devises and all are freezing when playing back a recorded HULU program. I also have a smart TV which is not a Roku product, and it is NOT freezing when playing back a HULU recording. As a result, it appears the freezing problem lies with Roku. Please advise with a fix to the HULU recorded playback freezing.

Started today.
Hulu app - going to "My Stuff" and trying to watch recorded items is slow to load. Then while watching, Hulu freezes and crashes.
Tried on multiple Roku's.
Either something is up with Hulu or Roku
one note: watching on PC was fine, only Hulu on Roku (so far)
Other scenarios are causing the app to freeze up

Aside from freezes during playback, are you getting any errors? In the meantime, I suggest you try the following:

For this matter, we advise you to contact Hulu's support team directly and inquire further about the issue. Since the DVR Playback is part of their service, they can provide you with a workaround, such as a troubleshooting step, in an attempt to resolve the issue or may develop an update with their app to fix the problem. It is important to note that an app, including its features and services, is directly managed by the channel provider.

I figured as much, but thought I would check here incase and recent Roku changes may have effected the HULU channel.
Thank you for the quick response to my concern.
To answer your question, we are not getting any errors from Hulu or Roku.
I've checked Hulu for updates per your instructions and found all Hulu updates are current. I then restarted Roku, again per your instructions.
Went back to the recording and it froze again. Prior to freezing, the playback seems to go in slow motion, then the sound & picture stutters prior to freezing.
I am hopeful you can diagnose the problem and prescribe a solution soon.

We have been experiencing the same problem since yesterday late afternoon. The playback picture stops while the sound continues for maybe another 30-60 seconds and then the whole thing freezes up.
I have shut restarted the roku multiple times. I have checked for roku updates. I even removed the app and re-added the app but still will not allow me to watch anything that has been recorded. I have no issues watching live tv on Hulu or anything else just happens on the records.

I've experienced the problem on two different roku devices I have so far...
Here is the information for one of the devices:
Model - 3960X - Roku Express

Software version - 14.1
Hulu version 6.91 Build 0
Tracker ID: 8K-040-210
the screen says Software version 14.1.4 build 7709-ED, GC Version 12.10.27, Timestamp: 2025-01-28T22:10:48Z for the problem I just had.
