Jump to solution

Can I pair wireless bluetooth earbuds with the ROKU Device: 3820x2 since I am not seeing" Add New Wireless Headphones". as an option? And if not, what ROKU devices WILL work?

Some of the newer Roku devices with the latest chips now have the capability of sending audio to Bluetooth devices directly. As of Aug 26, 2024, Roku lists these devices as having this capability:
• Roku Streambar SE
• Roku Streambar
• Roku Streambar Pro
• Roku Smart Soundbar
• Roku Ultra (models 4800 and 4802)
• Roku Ultra LT (model 4801)
• Roku Plus Series TV
• Roku Pro Series TV
See this Roku article for details and any updates: https://support.roku.com/article/12210854415383

Rokus other than the specific Roku models mentioned in that article are not equipped to send Bluetooth and this capability cannot be added by a software update. For them you must use the Roku Remote app on a phone or tablet, and connect the Bluetooth audio device to the phone/tablet.

Hi @garden54,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

We understand you want to pair the Bluetooth earbuds with your Roku device model 3820X. We're happy to assist you further. Please be advised that the Roku streaming stick is not supported by the Bluetooth feature; only some Roku Ultra models, Streambars, and some TVs are.

For more information, check out this support article on how to use Bluetooth headphones for private listening on your Roku streaming device. Official Roku ...

We hope you'll find this information useful. Please keep us posted if there's anything else we can do to assist you.

Best regards,
John
