Photo Streams won’t work for me

I tried restarting my Roku, removing and re-adding photo streams and I did the beginning steps multiple times but the photo streams is still at the beginning. Is there another way to get photo streams to work?

Re: Photo Streams won’t work for me

Hi @mischaelizabeth,

Welcome, and thanks for the first post to the Roku Community!

We appreciate you flagging us about the trouble you've experienced setting this up with the photo streams and the steps you took to resolve it.

We'd be more than happy to look into this further. For us to help you better, we will ask a set of questions to isolate the issue:

  • What Roku device are you using right now? (e.g., Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV—specify TV)
  • Are you encountering any error codes or messages? If so, could you please send us a screenshot?
  • Suppose you have already logged in but are still unsuccessful in starting it. We would recommend giving it a shot once again by removing and re-adding. That step is crucial when performing if you haven't tried the suggested order (remove restart re-install).

Note: A stream may not allow 100 photos if the storage limit for the Roku account has been exceeded.

If the problem persists, try doing it via the Roku mobile app and see if you can push it through.

Download and install the Roku mobile app for iOS and Android, then use the steps below to upload photos.

  1. Launch the mobile app
  2. Tap on the User icon in the top corner

  3. Tap Sign in and enter your email address and password
  4. Select Photo Streams
  5. Select Create Stream to create a new Photo Stream, or choose an existing stream.
  6. Upload your favorite photos
  7. If desired, customize the name of the Photo Stream
  8. Share the stream with family and friends using the URL or email the link to them directly

For additional support, visit our support page here: How to use Photo Streams on your Roku® streaming device.

In addition, kindly provide us with the following information about your device in the process of investigation:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and current software version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

Please keep us posted with the above information, and we will continue to assist you should you need further aid. We look forward to hearing your response.

All the best,
Chel
