AirPlay REFUSES to work or connect

*I have a streaming stick 4k*
I used to be able to use AirPlay perfectly with no issues. Out of nowhere it just stops working. Sometimes it will show up in the options for AirPlay but then when you connect it shows as connected on my phone/laptop/ipad, then a few seconds later it says it cannot connect bc of an error. Sometimes it doesn’t even show up in the options of devices to connect to. It just never works now but it used to so I’m very confused. **Before you ask, YES my devices are connected to the same network, YES I have Airplay enabled, and YES I have tried on multiple devices but to no avail. **

Re: AirPlay REFUSES to work or connect

Hello thank you for your response. I checked, and my software is up to date. I am wondering if I may just have a faulty streaming stick?

Re: AirPlay REFUSES to work or connect

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, @londra!

We understand that this did to resolve the issue. Let's explore more troubleshooting!

How about trying to do a network connection reset? Let me walk you through the process.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Advanced system settings
  4. Select Network connection reset
  5. Select Reset connection

After the network reset is done, your Roku device will restart and you will need to return to the Settings menu and set up your wireless network again.

Let me know how it went!

Best,
