Newest Ultra reboots several times at start up

Jump to solution

I purchased the latest Roku Ultra (SN X02800JA6JXL) last month and since then whenever I turn Roku on it will "reboot" 3 or 4 times before stabilizing and finally displaying the Roku Home page. I am using a wired network connection with an HDMI to an  LG 55LW5600-UA TV.

Thanks for keeping in touch, @jtgostars.

You can choose sound modes and change sound settings on your device from the Options menu when watching a movie, TV show, music, Bluetooth audio, or content (e.g., Blu-ray player, cable set-top box, game console) connected to your Roku TV system.

Use the following steps to change sound settings:

  1. Start streaming or playing your content
  2. Press Star * on your Roku remote
  3. Select Advances sound settings or Sound settings
  4. Choose your sound mode or change your sound settings

When you're done, press Back <- until the menu is closed.

Note: You may not be able to change sound settings, in some situations, while streaming. Use the Roku mobile app to adjust sound settings instead.

For more information, read the detailed article about changing sound settings on your Roku audio device.

Let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help.

Thank you,
Chel

@jtgostars

1) Disable power savings:  Settings/System/Power/Auto power savings = Off (unchecked)

Also:

1) Configure passthrough:  Settings/Audio/Digital output format = Passthrough

2) Disable Sound Modes:  During playback - Options (*)/Sound Settings/Customize sound modes/Volume Leveling & Dialog Enhancement = Off

Otherwise, if it still occurs, try switching to WiFi to see if the rebooting persists; if it still reboots, I highly recommend return/exchange.

Sound Modes are only available during playback, so use Options (*) while a video is playing.

Was able to try all the suggestions and none of them worked so I guess I will reach out to Roku directly and request a replacement and see if that's the issue.
