Turn off the Roku Feature on a TCL TV

So I just had to do a factory reset on my Roku TV while troubleshooting a screen flickering issue. After the reset I am back to 3 columns! I wonder how long it will last.....
Let us know how long that lasts.
This change is amazing!!! I can't figure out how to go back. The size difference is blown out of proportion and not an issue. I wish I could have this permanently. I was able to jump right in to a particular Hulu show which I miss already 😞
Completely disagree. Awesome change and I want it back
I agree completely! This change impacts users with disabilities, and age is a protected class. It needs to be addressed under Accessibility with the ability to return to an accessible size. When websites and mobile apps are not accessible, they can create barriers for people with disabilities.
So easy to overlook the needs of those with disabilities. Exactly what ROKU has done with this change! A change to the ADA Act has been proposed called:
"Proposed ADA Title II Web and Mobile App Accessibility Rule Published"
Please check ADA website and support change. Stop these types of changes from impacting the disabled. Help to protect those least able to protect themselves.
Become visually impaired and then tell me, "The size difference is blown out of proportion and not an issue."
Lol. Hilarious. How "amazing" is it that all of the comments have been very negative, and then that's pointed out. THEN, "suddenly", "commentors" trip all over themselves to say how "amazing" the changes are.
You want to see how ironic the update was?
Consider that the "recently watched" portion is STILL only three tiles. And only TWO of those are selectable. The third just takes you to the page which is mostly Roku "suggestions", not your personal recently watched content.
It is very clear the changes made were to subtly direct use of content to emphasize content they could sell or control. This is very much in line with what is happening across tech and media. Very clear that Roku is joining the bandwagon to emphasize and deemphasize channels or content.
This issue is that the sold a product to consumers that led the purchaser to believe that could control and curate themselves, but now, they are gradually removing the control and using the device to push consumers one way or the other so they can capitalize on them. This changes the value of the original product significantly.
That is what feels like a breach of trust.
Yes, this change impacts disabled and age is a protected class. Check out ADA Act (Americans with Disabilities). The have proposed a change to protect disabled on the internet, Proposed ADA Title II Web and Mobile App Accessibility Rule Published.
Check it out, help make life easier for your mother.
Shame on ROKU!
Just replaced one with a fire stick and it is awesome. I will sell my other ultras and streambar pro for pennies since Roku doesn’t care about users. This should be a choice and it isn’t but with my low vision I can no longer use these.
