I have had no problem streaming through Apple Airplay on my Roku express until I updated to iOS 18. Just trying to figure out if this is on Apple's end or Roku's? I'm guessing Apple's.
Hi @gilinvom1,
Thank you for your first post here in the Roku Community!
We understand you're having trouble with Airplay on your Roku Express. We're happy to investigate further. Could you elaborate more about your issue? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
In the meantime, you may check out this support article here on using AirPlay and HomeKit with your Roku streaming device.
We look forward to hearing from you soon and gathering details.
Thanks,
John
My iPhone SE (2020) has iOS 18.0 .
My 2015 Roku 2 (4210) has OS13. [Roku 2 is connected to a 2012 3D Sony TV]
Currently have a Twitch stream on my iPhone mirrored [AirPlay] to my Roku 2. It's been on for 23 minutes so far and streaming great.
My guess is OS18 is not the problem. When I have Roku problems, I try a Roku restart which usually fixes my problem [such as Roku YouTube-app won't play videos, restart Roku, YouTube-app plays videos].
[also have a 2016 Roku Premiere plus (4630); iPhone and Rokus can use my 1 Gbps internet WIFI (FTTH)]
