Re: On Now above channel guide
I'm guessing that after this amount of time, we are being ignored. Because of this annoying guide change, I bought a TIVO recently to try out at my shop. There are alternatives.

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
@RokuEmmanuel-D- Emman,
You said "Please let us (know) if you need further clarification or need more help."
Can you please tell us why this new feature, that many of us do not want, was implemented?
Thanks

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
I, and many others have been complaining here about this new feature since early December, and now Roku goes and issues a press release telling the world how wonderful this new feature is. That is quite a surprise to the many here on multiple discussions who are complaining about this unwanted feature and wishing to be able to turn it off. Even the Roku folks have stopped replying to us. They are ignoring their core customers, hoping that we will all go away. I used to be an evangelist for Roku --.
Here is the press release: https://cordcuttersnews.com/roku-upgrades-its-live-tv-guide-upgrade-for-enhanced-viewing-experience-...

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
This seems to suggest they have no intention to fix this. So, it appears they've decided that they are burning through too much bandwidth because of our usage of "Live TV" and that the best solution is too make it frustrating enough that we'll reduce our usage. I think, in that respect, their change will be a big success. First the stupid categories that you couldn't turn off and now this. Message received. Time to consider resubscribing to SchedulesDirect and going back to using my Windows Media Center as my primary TV device.

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
I feel the exact SAME way. I hate this new feature which forces me to do MORE CLICKING just to get to the channel I want OR the last channel I viewed on the tv guide. For me, this is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. Roku should include a feature which allows users to TURN OFF the Favorites above the Live TV Guide for those NOT wanting it. There's no "one size fit all" for everyone and Roku should have taken this into account by adding a TURN OFF feature. Now, users have to do MORE CLICKING just to get to the channels on the Roku LiveTV Guide. HIGHLY ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST.

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
To turn off the additional streaming channels on the Live TV grid: Go to Settings > TV Inputs > Live TV > Manage channels > check Hide streaming channels. It works

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
Roku says that this new feature can not be turned off.
Also, I do not see "TV Inputs" under Settings. Maybe my Roku is different from yours.

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
I don't want to hide channels, I want to be able to hide the categories in the guide. It used to be you only had to cycle through "All Channels", "Recents", "Recommended" and "Favorites". Now, after "Favorites", you have to cycle through"Add-ons", "Entertainment", "News & Opinion", "TV Shows", "Music", "Movies", "Crime", "Sports", "Comedy", "Reality", "En Español", "Game Shows" and "Kids & Family" before you get back to "All Channels".
What was the benefit of the old way? You could hold the button and scroll all the way down to the end of all channels and you would only have to go through "Recents", "Recommended" and "Favorites", which are generally fairly short lists, and you would be back to the top of "All Channels". The first week you start using Live TV, you might not need to scroll through every channel except to find favorites. After a few months, you can get sick of your favorites because you're into repeats on almost every favorite. That's when you start wanting to scroll through all the channels...you just don't want to have to scroll through all the repetitions of the channel sub-sets in the categories.

Re: Favorites above TV Guide - new feature
"TV Inputs" only applies to Roku TVs, not Roku devices. The first TV I saw that had Roku on it, was not fully integrated. It was like having a Roku device attached to the TV with the benefit of not using up an HDMI port. If you have one like that, it may not have the "TV Inputs" either, I don't know.
The easiest way to find channel management is, while your are watching "Live TV", press the "*" button, scroll down to "Manage channel" and press "ok" or the right arrow. From there, you can choose to manage either favorites or the channel lineup.

I do not think that has anything to do with the problem we are discussing.
