Express + wont update after getting error 004 the display freezes. Not able to perform a reset

We appreciate you letting us know that your Roku Express+ is getting error code 004 and won't update. Don't worry, we're here to assist you with this.

We recommend you try the following troubleshooting steps below and see if it will work for you.

Restart your Roku device:
You can unplug the power cable, wait a moment, and then reconnect it, or you can use the following steps to restart it from the Settings menu.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote 
     
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select System
  4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
  5. Select System restart

Restart your Router: 
To restart your router, check the instructions from your internet service provider (ISP) or router manufacturer. In some cases, you can simply unplug it and plug it back in. If you have previously connected to your router, the streaming device should automatically reconnect.

You also have the option to connect your Roku device to a Mobile hotspot. Just make sure that your phone has cellular data. How to connect to a mobile hotspot
