Display When First Turned On

I am new to Roku and I find the menu to be one of the most frustrating things.

I still don't understand it and find I have to continually surf and dive into menus to find the same thing all the time.

Isn't there a way to have it go to the last live channel you were watching when you turned it off? Like a regular TV? I don't want the home screen when I turn it on.

And I don't want to have to navigate past "All Channels" I would rather start with my favorites.

The menu on this is horrible to navigate.

Re: Display When First Turned On

The Roku OS does not have an option to always load a specific app/channel when started. A Roku TV does have the ability to always start on an HDMI port, but that is the only startup configuration possible.

If you have channels/apps that you use most often, you can move them to the top of the grid so you don't have to navigate to them further down screen. Just highlight the desired channel, press the * button on the remote, then select Move and use the cursor buttons to place it where you'd like it.

Re: Display When First Turned On

The "Live TV (Guide)" Channel App should take you back to the last live channel you were watching once you select it.

Select the "Live TV" channel app, press the star key on the remote, and select "Move app to top."

If this isn't on your home screen:

Go to "Search"
Enter with your remote "live tv" into the search
Select "Live TV" from under "Channels"
Select "Add app"

Re: Display When First Turned On

THanks, I have since figured out how to set a shortcut to live TV channel with voice command (after asking numerous people on here).

However, these things should not be so difficult to figure out, Roku should make these basic tasks much simpler.
