Hi @abbycao15,
Happy to have you here in the Roku Community!
We appreciate you letting us know about the issue you've experienced with your Roku device using HDMI. Help is here.
We recommend following the troubleshooting steps below to see if this will work for you.
- Try switching the HDMI cable to a different HDMI power on your Roku TV. (Like from HDMI 2, plug it into HDMI 1 or 3).
- Restart the Roku device by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds and plugging it back. Otherwise, you can try the following:
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select System
- Select Power. (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
- Select System restart
Additionally, ensure that the HDMI cable is firmly attached to the Roku TV and your iPad.
Let us know if these steps help, and we'll continue assisting you from there.
Thank you,
Chel

Re: Color issue when HDMI plugged in
Try using another HDMI cable or a cable that is known to work with a HDMI output device like a DVD/Blu-Ray player or a steaming box/Android media player.
