I want to know if it possible to display the current time on the screen while watching programs. I have looked but can't find anything that would allow me to do this. Thank you for any help you can give.

No, there's no such global setting in the Roku OS. It's possible (although I don't know of any) that a specific channel might offer it. But I'm not aware of any streamer that offers a full time clock display. I use the Nvidia Shield as well as my Rokus, and I've not seen that setting in the Android TV OS either.
