I wish that you could set up so that after so many seconds (like 5) when you turn on the TV that if you do not press anything on the remote that it would auto select one of the inputs that you have preselected. That should be an easy program update that could be downloaded to every TV or roku box

You can configure Roku TV devices to do that already.

External Roku devices don't control, and can't control, the TV input.

Now, if you want to suggest that Roku remotes include an IR based input button, submit a suggestion on the Suggest a Feature page.
