I have 2 TVs, both of them have brand new Rokus that I had to purchase to replace the older models. Roku Express & Roku Express +4K. 4K changed to a "Loki" theme pack or wallpaper (whichever it's called) and the other never did change. I updated the system and still no change. Why? This didn't happen with the older ones which were both regular Rokus.
Settings > System > Theme > Seasonal themes.
Set this to "off".
They are really stretching the definition of "Seasonal" lately.
Hi. Why am I setting it to "off?" I just wanted to know, like the other person, why they weren't allowing us to keep the wallpapers that they send like they use to. If I turn the automatic setting off to receive new wallpapers and themes, I'll never get any and that'll defeat the purpose of having new ones; unless they don't want anyone to keep them any longer.
The "seasonal" themes are always temporary. There's no way to save them. If you disable seasonal, then you just use what yours is set to at all times.
Perhaps Seasonal is disabled on your older ones, which is why they didn't get them. It's also possible that Roku only targets specific models with certain themes.
