Hi @MRick04,

Thanks for the response!

We appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have taken in trying to resolve the issue.

Please be advised that one factor as to why your TCL Roku TV keeps rebooting by itself is if there's an issue with the power adapter, cord, or even power outlet.

Kindly make sure everything is intact at the back of the TV. In addition, was this present during or after updating your Roku TV?

Feel free to keep us posted on what you find out.

All the best,
Chel

I am having this exact issue!! All of my TCL tvs that are connected via internet will go from whatever I am watching to powering off and sometimes back on or going straight to Live TV which I never use. I have switched outlets, factory rest numerous times, changed remote batteries, left remote batteries out everything possible. I even checked my home for smart outlets and changed all my passwords.

I have the same issue, although very randomly, about 1 time per year. It will randomly go to the left side menu and do what you're mentioning with HDMI. I have to just turn the whole tv off or it will run forever!

Another thing that It's been present since I first bought it is it powering off and then back on randomly.  It was only on occasion (once every few months or so) but has increased significantly over time. It will just randomly turn itself off.

I use the SETTINGS + SYSTEM + POWER + SYSTEM RESTART + RESTART, which used to help a lot and keep it from doing it for maybe a few weeks.

Over the past year, it's been like once a week, and now it's lucky to work (stay powered on) for a few hours at a time. I have to unplug it entirely (after powering off first) for overnight or it will shut on and off during the night.

I think there's a faulty something with this model!

Hi, @InMyStudio.

We appreciate you reaching us here in the Roku Community!

We'd be happy to help you find the best solution for your Roku TV's randomly turning-off issue.

For this concern, since it's related to hardware, we suggest getting in touch with the TV manufacturer for further details, as they have the most expertise about their product. You can contact them via TCL Support.

I’ve had years of this same issue. One trouble shoot suggestion I found over a year ago, required me to hold the power button and another button to reset. It worked without issue for over a year, but now the issue is back (probably the result of a recent update). Came to this site looking for a solution, but instead a bit frustrated that all of TCL comments I see offer no accountability or real solutions. As the company is only offering solutions that make it appear that the issue is with the plug and not the tv. It is the TV! I will look up the solution on YouTube once again and share what I find. In the meantime, I kindly ask TCL to do the same and offer us some real solutions to this systemic issue.

I need my tv for my workouts, but have to waste time researching and typing this reaction and eventually switch to a different room with a different brand tv that works. Good grief!
