Wireless Bass Pro Subwoofer

Jump to solution

The volume on my new subwoofer is VERY disappointing. I have to put my ear up to the speaker to hear any of the low rumbling sounds. I followed the process carefully to connect, then completely disconnected and reset to see if it improved. I have all Roku products paired together; the soundbar workers great. But this expensive subwoofer is a big FAIL.
I think I am going to return it.

Can anyone tell me what to do to increase the volume of the bass- without having to double the volume of my TV and hurt my dogs’ ears….just to get a little more bass!!
I did call Roku support, and the guy knew less about the subwoofer than I do.🤦🏻‍♀️

Welcome, and thanks for posting here in the Roku Community, @gailabachuss!

We understand you've had some unexpected issues with your Wireless Roku Subwoofer. We would happily help you and look into this issue more closely.

Have you explored the customization options for the Sound Settings while playing content on your Roku Sound Setup? If you haven't, you may want to consider adjusting the Bass levels to better suit your listening preferences. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you enhance your audio experience by boosting the Bass.

  1. Start streaming or playing your content.
  2. Press Star

    on your Roku remote
  3. Select Advanced Sound Settings or Sound settings
  4. Choose your sound mode or change your sound settings

When you're ready, press Back until the menu is closed.

  • Note: In some situations, you may not be able to change sound settings while streaming. Use the Roku mobile app to adjust sound settings instead.

Sound modes are a collection of settings optimized for specific listening experiences, but you can still change the following sound settings.

  • Speech clarity: Boost dialogue content relative to other sounds (e.g., background music, car crashes, etc.)
  • Volume modes: Automatic leveling and night mode offer varying levels to lower volume on loud scenes and boost volume on quieter scenes
  • Treble: Increase high frequencies for a "brig" ter," m," e detailed sound, or lower them for a softer sound.
  • Bass: Adjust low frequencies or the sounds you feel, such as loud explosions in a movie or the bass drum kicks in a concert performance.
