ONN Roku tv with soundbar
It's really really annoying that there isn't a soloution or a fix for this and Roku appearently refuses to fix it or pass on word up the chain of command, instead they would rather waste your time with customer service for hours just for there to not be any solutions, and if you contact them on here, their soloution is that the TV may need an update and that will solve the issue, like that wouldn't have been one of the first things i had tried before calling for help and googling soloutions! The issue at hand is that if you use any speaker bar with any ONN Roku tv, the volume goes up in increments of between 2 and 5, depending on your specific model, and that leaves you with having to have the volume either too quiet to hear or uncomfortably loud which completely ruins the experience of whatever you are watching! My tv goes up 2 to 4 increments on the volume for every 1 button press I make. So if the volume is at 24 and I wanna go up to 25 I can't! It will jump to either volume 26 or 28 and whether it goes up 2 or 4 increments depends on what the volume was at when I decided to turn it up or down. I've contemplated unplugging my speaker bar, but id like to be abke to use the device i bought to have surround sound and not the **bleep** tv speakers, i shouldn't have to choose between using my speaker bar and being able to set the volume at what I want because some people are Roku are too **bleep** lazy to do their jobs and contact their higher ups or contact their tech department and make them aware of the issue so that they can create a new update that actually solves the problem instead of jerking people around for hours!! Please pass this information to whomever needs to see it, and whomever makes the updates for the ONN roku tvs PLEASE! IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR 6 MONTHS!! Even though this issue should have been resolved already! Please pass this onto the tech department and also whichever department comes up with the updates! And also share with the IT department!!

Volume conflict between Roku Pro TV and Polk Signa Soundbar
Hi,
Newbie here. I have a brand new (January 2025) Roku 55 inch Pro Series 4K QLED television (55R8B5) paired with a new Polk Signa S4 Soundbar with wireless subwoofer. I really like both the television and the soundbar, it's a great combination of both audio and visual for my smaller great room! The Roku remote is the rechargeable remote voice pro 2nd edition (latest and greatest).
The problem I am having is volume increments. With the Polk soundbar turned off, the tv volume increments go up and down by 1 at a time as normal, all good. BUT, when the soundbar is turned on, the volume increments go up and down mostly in increments of 2 at a time. 4 to 6, 6 to 8, etc. Periodically (weirdly) it will increment normally by 1, but mostly it increments up or down by 2.
So obviously the soundbar is in play here as the volume increments normally with the soundbar off. The soundbar is connected to the Roku tv through the HDMI eARC port. Connecting the soundbar to any of the regular HDMI ports doesn't work at all, no audio.
I can't find any settings on either my soundbar or the Roku television that would resolve this. Can I live with it? Yes, but would sure be nice if I could get the soundbar and the tv to play nice with each other and increment volume up and down by a level of 1 with each click. I have tried re-pairing remotes but no joy. I've seen other forum posts with volume jumping up in 3s, so similar issue but found nothing within those posts that helps me directly.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Re: ONN Roku tv with soundbar
Thanks for keeping us posted, and welcome to the Roku Community!
We understand you have a problem with your Roku TV with a soundbar since the increments will jump from 2 to 4. We're happy to investigate further.
Can you please provide the following information below?
- What is the brand of your soundbar?
- Is this happening on all contents/channels, or is this isolated to 1 content/channel?
- The current software version of your Roku TV by going to Settings>System>About
We look forward to hearing from you soon and gathering your details.
Thanks,
The Roku Community Team
