Hi, @Bronchos32
Thanks for posting, and welcome to the Roku Community.
We understand the problem you've encountered with your Roku TV in recovery mode. We'd be glad to assist you in getting things back on track. Let's perform a troubleshooting step to exit you from the recovery mode and re-activate your Roku TV again. Kindly follow the steps below:
Recovery Mode
Initiate commands on your Roku TV to enter recovery mode once again to set it up.
Once you're in the Recovery Mode, follow the instructions to proceed. TV will download and install the software before restarting. This may take a few moments, after which time you may be asked to perform the Guided Setup and activation process, depending on the state of your TV, prior to using Recovery Mode.

I also can’t seem to find the $ sign on keypad to enter password for WiFi
For the $, on the keyboard that's displayed select the !?#$%& button to the right of the number pad and you'll get a whole set of different characters. Select the ABC123 to get back to the regular keyboard characters.

I’ve done all of this, So in recovery mode and asked me to connect to the Internet, which I do. Once it’s connected to my WiFi I click “update now” which it restarts my tv. Then it takes me to a “let’s get started” and it gives me options in languages to pick. But it doesn’t allow my control to press anything. It doesn’t allow me to press OK or move between different options of languages. It’s as if my control doesn’t work. But earlier my control was working because it allowed me to put in my Wi-Fi password .
this is happening to my tv as well all of the sudden. I connected to wifi, installed the update, restarts and boots back up into recovery mode. I tried a different wifi, updated, restarts back in recovery mode. I downloaded the USB update file, got the code to install it, updated and rest in recovery mode. why isn't this working?
This same thing is happening to me. I have a TCL 75” QLED TV model 75R635. Roku version listed is 9.10E01678A. Roku TV = A115X. Tried WiFi update and USB update. USB update fails, WiFi update looks like it is working but it just reboots into Recovery Mode. Reset button doesn’t seem to do anything.
