Screen constantly goes black but only with Prime Videos

I have tried every suggestion that I have found online and nothing works. I have a Roku Ultra. Any time I try Prime, I hope that it might have been a transient issue but it is not. I can’t click on anything to see if I might want to watch it but it is impossible because the screen goes black. There is no such thing as browsing on Prime for me. I basically can’t watch a thing. I have Hulu Live, Netflix, Apple TV+ and no problems with any of them. Only Prime. I know that I’m not the only one with the issue because there have been so many different online suggestions. None work for me. Does anyone know the reason for this issue and why it is only on Prime video?

We appreciate you reaching out and for the attempts at resolving this case. Please try accessing it with a mobile hotspot to see if you're still seeing the same issue.

If the problem continues, please reply back here and share with us the information below.

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  • Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID).
