So today my daughter knocked my insignia Roku tv over, it's completely **bleep**ed the whole screen is shattered. My question is is it possible to take the Roku out of this tv and use it on a regular non smart tv?

No, there's no Roku within the TV. It's simply the operating system the TV manufacturer uses within their hardware. Sorry.

Well I’m in a similar situation and was wondering if i could just transfer all the data from my broken tv to a new one.

There is no data to transfer. Anything tied to your Roku user account will appear on every Roku device you link to your account. A Roku TV would have the local TV channels stored after you scan for them, but that would have to be done on any new TV.

I also had the same question.... My 43" only the screen cracked and isn't usable any more I can still cast music to it and hear it..

 I have an older non smart TV that I just want the Roku OS. I just don't want to go buying a chrome cast or Roku stick if I don't have to.

So the only thing smart about these TVs is having that wifi card? Cuz like someone said there is no data to transfer.... I've never gotten your TV is out of data you can't use/ download any more app? I have a laptop that's the screen is broken and I hook it up to a computer screen or HDMI port and it works just fine I don't understand why the same concept can't work with a smart TV.

Same answer as above. No, there is no Roku device within a Roku TV that can be removed and used on another TV. You cannot install the Roku OS on a non-Roku TV.

There's much more than a WiFi card that makes a TV "smart". Mostly it's the OS, and you cannot install an operating system on a TV that isn't designed for it. 

You can connect a laptop to a different display because it has an video output jack. On older laptops it was an RGB connector and you had to hook up an audio connection separately. Newer laptops all have either HDMI or Display Port connectors, which combine the audio and video on a single connector. You can't connect a TV with a bad display to another display because it lacks any sort of video output. And I don't know of any TV that offers that.
