Roku App for Audio when Hisense TV (R43B7120UK) is wired

Jump to solution

I have the Hisense R43B7120UK and use the Roku App to send Audio to wireless Bluetooth headphones.

The TV is now moving rooms and there is a wired connection.

The TV also has weaker WiFi signal with buffering.

If I use the wired connection, it's great stream quality, but I can't use the Roku App for audio.

Is there a way to have a wired connection and still use the Roku App?

For example, can I use a USB Bluetooth with the Roku App and leave the TV wired?

If not, I will look to improve Wifi to the TV.

Thanks

Hi @DCDCDC,

Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand you are concerned about using the Roku app to send audio to wireless Bluetooth headphones and about the connectivity issue with your Hisense Roku TV.

Please be aware that Bluetooth headphones can only be paired with Roku Plus Series or Roku Pro Series TVs for Headphone Mode. If a Roku Streambar SE, Roku Streambar, Roku Streambar Pro, or Roku Smart Soundbar is connected to your TV, you can still directly pair your headphones with the stream bar or soundbar.

If you have any other Roku TV system, you will need to pair Roku Wireless Speakers or a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar to add Bluetooth capability to your TV.

Note: The Wireless headphones menu option will only appear on a compatible Roku device.

For more detailed information about this feature, visit these Support articles:

For connectivity issues, the Roku devices need an active internet connection to stream content. They need either a wireless (Wi-Fi) or ethernet (wired) connection to a network (or, at the least, an external HDMI switch with an ethernet port).

Review the tips for improving the wireless connection to your Roku device.

We hope this helps!

All the best,
Chel
