Roku streambar color over saturated and overbright

New Roku Streambar SE model 9104x, on a LG OLED B4 model. The color settings i use for the TV (warm Cinema) do not pass thru to Roku streaming media.  All channels programs etc show a very vivid overbright color scheme. Obviously the Roku device provides its own color renedition and ignores the TV color settings. I have read all the 13 pages of posts on over saturated color. My question is do all ROKU devices (Roku Ultra etc) ignore any user color settings that the TV uses when not enabling ROKU?  If so using ROKU is like having a TV with absolutely NO control on brightness, saturation, contrast etc as any of those settings are ignored by ROKU. When bypassing ROKU and using the streaming or cable network of the TV my Cinema settings activate, when switching to enable ROKU color automatically shifts to whatever ROKU uses, which is unacceptable to me. I have tried various settings etc to no avail. So is that a standard characteristic of ALL Roku devices, ie to ignore the color settings or picture mode the user selects on the TV? If so the technology is totally archaic. Does any other streaming device allow the user settings (or any selected picture mode) to pass thru the streaming device?

Re: Roku streambar color over saturated and overbright

Hi, @danallxt Thank you for posting here in the Roku Community!

We sincerely apologize for the delayed response. We would like to better understand the issue you are encountering with your Roku Streambar.

Could you please let us know if this issue occurs on a specific channel or if it affects all channels? If the problem is related to a particular channel, you might consider adjusting the image resolution or picture settings for that channel. While watching a video, you can press the Star button (*) on your Roku remote and select “Picture Settings” to tailor your viewing experience.

Additionally, exploring different display types on your Roku streaming player may also be beneficial. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to assisting you further.

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll and select Settings
  3. Select Display type
  4. Select one of the available display types and press OK on your remote
  5. Your screen may go black for a few seconds while the display setting is changed
  6. When an image is shown, select Yes, I can see it, and press OK on your remote
  7. Your screen will return to the Display type menu
  8. A check will appear next to the new display setting
  • Note: If you receive a message indicating your TV does not support a display type, you can still select the display type and try it anyway.

Once it's done, please follow up for a system restart. Go to Settings > System > Power > System Restart.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Jharra
