Roku TV remote range

I recently purchased a roku TV, but the remote signal doesn't reach my couch.  It only has about 3 feet of range.  Is there a way to extend the range farther so I can sit at my couch and use the remote?

There's not a soundbar or something blocking the remote signals from reaching the tv? 

You can upgrade to a Roku Voice Wifi remote, signal will go through walls:

And yes it will work with roku tv's, once paired.

Fix for Roku TCL and possibly other TV's with short range IR recievers

Roku TCL's (TV's) are notorious for short range IR receivers. You can get a TV remote extender on Amazon for less than 10 bucks.
