With so many complaints, looks like Roku would come up with a fix. I've been having the same issue with my Hisense Roku tv. It gets the updates....WHEN available. I've had it kick back to the home screen up to 6 times in a 15 min. span. I've gone thru doing restarts, unplugging it for 20 min. Even unplugged my router and rebooted both. And it would still happen.
A Walmart employee in the electronics dept. suggested changing the batteries in the remote control. At least it is the cheapest way to fix, if that's the issue. So far, it's been on nearly an hour and still working. We'll see.
Well, that failed! It lasted a little bit longer, but kicked it back to the home screen. So I know now it is not a remote control issue. I'm bout ready to throw this chinese made carp out the door.

It makes no difference what channel I'm watching. It happens in all of them, including youtube, pandora, prime, paramount+, peacock, netflix, etc, etc, etc. That would be a lot of channels to remove, don't ya think? The issue is not with the channels, it is with roku's failure to provide a fix to solve the issue that so many are having with their roku tv's.
It's a Hisense Roku tv. There is no separate roku device/player.
I got so aggravated yesterday trying to watch a show, that I threw the remote control across the room. If I could have picked it up (too heavy) I'd have thrown it out the door. It kicked back to home screen 6 times in 5 minutes after being unplugged for several hours that time. I'd went about doing other things and waited til I was ready to settle in and watch a few of my shows late evening.
No, I am not getting error messages when it happens. It just goes back to "HISENSE" and sometimes takes a few minutes to even show MY home screen background with my apps/channels.
