Hello all, new user here.
Got a Roku Smart TV – 65-Inch Plus Series 4K QLED two months ago and still can't figure out a good settings combo for live sports (played through my cable box). Movies and shows through apps look great. Live sports through apps (Amazon Prime football games for example) look great. Movies and shows through cable look great.
Live sports on cable look awful. The full field shots of action are blocky and blurry. The tight shots between plays (close-ups on players, for example) look great. I've read about excessive motion smoothing, but as far as I can tell this TV doesn't have a specific setting for that.
Any advice? Thank you!

Welcome to the Roku Community, @esturni!
Thanks for letting us know about this issue with the Roku TV since the live sports on your cable box are blocky and blurry. We're happy to help.
Suppose your live cable TV looks poor quality on a Roku TV. In that case, it's likely due to a mismatch between the signal your cable box is sending (which might be an older, interlaced format) and your TV's display capabilities or incorrect picture settings on the Roku itself; you might need to adjust your cable box settings, change the Roku picture mode, or even check your cable connection for potential issues.
For more information, please see this support article: Why does the picture from my cable or satellite box look bad on my Roku TV?
We hope you'll find this information useful. Please keep us posted if there's anything else we can do to assist you.
