55S21.  It is a Christmas gift I have had about 1 month.  Much larger than I would have purchased for my tiny apartment.

I can definitely understand that. Ok on the Magnavox MWR10D6 are the rca cables connected from the front or the back (rca out side on the right) of the DVD unit to the AV IN on the 55S21 TV. Have you tried both ways. I'm still looking for a solution.

I tried connecting from front - no change

Also did your TV come with an AV device like the one in this YouTube video it's not the exact model of your TV but kind of close

When you deleted the AV input tab on the TV was the DVD unit connected or any other device to the AV port?

On your TV is there a place for the red, yellow, and white rca AV inputs to hookup or does it look like the attached picture where the black line is? If it's like the picture then there should've been a little rca AV input device included in the TV box and you will need that device. Like the YouTube link I sent earlier where the person connects a VCR.
