We understand you are experiencing an issue with your Onn Roku TV overheating. We are happy to assist.
How are you powering your Roku TV?
We recommend running down the checklist below and seeing if you are able to resolve:
1. Carefully unplug the power cable from your Roku TV and allow it to cool down.
2. Find a cooler location for your Roku TV; avoid placing the unit:
a. Inside a cabinet or other closed space;
b. On top of other electronic devices such as cable boxes, routers, or audio/video receivers;
c. In direct sunlight.
3. Wait at least 10 minutes for your Roku TV to cool down. Once cooled, plug the power cable back in and wait for the Roku TV to power on. If you still see the overheating message, then immediately unplug the power cable.
4. Repeat step 3 one more time. If the problem persists, stop using your Roku TV until you take further action.
For more detailed information, please check here: What to do if the red light is on or you see the message “Your device is overheating.”
If the overheating issue persists even after trying the above steps, our friends at Onn will need to diagnose your TV hardware.
