Re: 50” Hisense Roku TV Keeps Rebooting

Hi Team,

I'm just reporting in with the same issue as everyone else here. Was watching YouTube after work last night and sometime after midnight, it shut itself off and I haven't been able to get it to stay on for more than a minute and that was only after holding the reset button in for 30 seconds. Now, I push the power button, I see my Roku home screen for a fe seconds and it powers itself back off. I've tried the troubleshooting with the remote. I've unplugged all external devices (gaming system, etc.).

Note: We have other TV's with Roku boxes and none of them seem to have been affected by the last update. Just the Hisense TV.

Re: 50” Hisense Roku TV Keeps Rebooting

It hasn’t been fixed I bought a new tv. I took it to a repair shop and they wanted $45 to check it and estimated $200 to fix it, so I bought a new tv.

After 3 months of it not being fixed and no help from here (they keep asking for info to share with their team), I bought a new TV.

That’s exactly how I felt and decided to do the same and have been warning everyone about Hisense

I stayed away from hisense and roku. The lack of response from their team tells me the type of company they are.

Re: 50” Hisense Roku TV Keeps Rebooting

Hi Community users,

Thanks for posting to the Roku Community!

We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused you. We value your business and assure you that we are committed to promptly and efficiently addressing your concerns.

Please be advised that the appropriate Roku team is diligently investigating the matter to identify the root cause and implement the necessary fixes. As of now, we still haven't received any feedback.

In the meantime, try one of the workarounds: performing a factory reset on your Roku TV. Here's how:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Advanced system settings.
  5. Select Factory reset.
  6. If you have a Roku TV, select Factory reset everything. Otherwise, move to the next step.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Using the physical button

  1. Locate the reset button on your Roku device, which is usually on the back or bottom.
  2. Ensure your Roku TV is powered on.
  3. Press and hold the reset button for exactly 10 seconds.
  4. Watch for a fast-blinking light, indicating that the reset is in progress.
  5. Once the light blinks at a normal rate, release the button.

Also, you can attempt the following steps using your remote control to trigger an automatic restart of your Roku device:

  • Press the Home button (five times),
  • Then press the Up button,
  • Followed by pressing Rewind (twice),
  • And Fast Forward (twice).

If the issue persists, please provide the following information so we can include it in the process of investigation:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and current software version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

Please keep us posted on what you find out, and we'll continue assisting you from there.

All the best,
Chel
