prime app selected to add to home but isn't showing up

Jump to solution

Selected prime app from streaming store to add to home screen but did not show on home page. Went back into the streaming store and it has a check mark indicating that it has been added. It is not there. So I attempted to remove but can only access prime from streaming store and it won't allow me to remove from there so I can try to reinstall. I have tried for 3 days to get the problem resolved. I have unplugged the tv, my router, checked for updates tried from my phone, my laptop and of course the tv. I have no clue what else to try.

There have been several reports from people adding apps from the website and them not showing on the Home Screen, but yours may be the first of adding from the "Streaming Store", so this may not work.  You can bring up a list of your installed apps by pressing Home 5 times, Up arrow twice, followed by Left, Right, Left, Right, Left.  If you do it properly you'll see a list of your installed apps.  Find Prime in the list and press Select/OK and there should be an option to delete it.  Add it from the "Streaming Store" again.  You can also delete an app using the mobile app by searching for it and if it's installed you should get the option to remove it.
