No other app's are locking up and crashing, oddly enough, even the Live Tv part of YouTube doesn't freeze up and close the app out.
I've already tried leaving it unplugged for several minutes and plugging it back in again, and like clockwork a minute and a half into any YouTube video it freezes and the app shuts down.
YouTube keeps messing around with the code of their apps and doesn't seem to to a very good job of making sure it doesn't screw up on platforms other than their own Google Chromecast.
When problems are confined to a particular channel, it may be that the channel did not install correctly, has received a faulty update, or has subsequently gotten corrupted. A reinstall of the channel to assure you have a good copy of its latest version may fix the problem, so that is the first thing I would try. Remove/reinstall procedure:
Notes:
If the problem persists at this point, it typically means the current version of the channel app has a problem that must be addressed by the channel itself as they are the ones that create the Roku-compatible version of their app and provide it to Roku.

I did the clear cache Home button 5 times, Volume Up, rewind twice and fast forward twice and let it reboot and that seemed to fix the problem.
Mind clarifying what steps you’re referring to here? I’ve been having issues with this for ages on only 1 of my Roku boxes for some reason (YT works fine on the others). I’ve tried every troubleshooting tactic I’ve come across online, but this sounds like a new one. If you could elaborate on the steps you took, it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
