Why doesn't Roku have the search catalogue for UK TV streaming services?

BBC Iplayer, ITV X, 

These are Huuuuuuge streaming services and probably in the top 10 services in terms of content but Roku doesn't have the catalogue to search find programmes

Any ideas why that is and whether it will change?

• What Roku device are you using right now? (e.g., Roku Express, Roku Streambar, Roku TV – specify TV)
• Have you activated your Roku device?
• When did this start happening?

There's nothing specific about my device.

It's the same for all Roku devices.

Roku supports UK streaming apps, but doesn't have the listings/catalogue for UK streaming channels (ITVX BBC iPlayer, etc).

My question is why not?

The streaming provider has to agree to allow Roku to catalog what they are offering, or else provide a listing of their offerings, and it's possible that none of those channels allow Roku to do so or provide the necessary info.
