I had to use the fire stick last night for the presidential speech.  When I tried to use the newmax app on both of my roku's  they would not work, the screen went back to the Icon.

We are having same issue. Found that as you are in Newsmax app, go to their "Search", type in "live" and the icon/box "Newsmax TV Live" box populates at the bottom left. Toggle to "Newsmax TV Live" stream box and click "Ok". This works for us for now.

Newsmax app livetv no longer works on Roku. Have been watching newsmax app livetv for months now for some reason you no longer get the livetv selection box. Have deleted and reinstalled many times it will work for a day then livetv selection no longer appears. This needs to be fix before we change tv providers. I hope this is bug in system and not censorship.

I've been having the same also. In the past it would fix itself after a day or so, not this time. Also hitting "live TV" on the left menu does nothing. Removed and reinstalled the channel but that also didn't fix it. The only other workaround I know of if using the Newsmax app on my phone and casting it via googlecast, but that's a hassle. Roku and/or Newsmax needs to fix this issue as it happens too often, and in this case it's been over a week.

After removing a channel, best practice is to restart your Roku to clear its memory before reinstalling the channel. Did you do this? Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.

Depending on your Roku model and Roku version number you'll find the System restart option under either Settings > System > Power or under Settings > System.

Yes, NewsMax Livestream on Roku Channel is an option, just not as convenient as going directly to the NewMax app.

This recent issue that only impacts when I attempt to watch NewsMax through a Roku device and even then only intermittently is reason I posted that the "solution" of this issue to contact NewsMax was wrong.

Apparently the real Roku solution to a Roku issue is to watch NewMax on the Roku channel.

As soon as I said it was not affecting the Roku LT, it started affecting the Roku LT. Should have kept my mouth shut.
