Search results will not load

We have a new Ultra 4802x. Voice and manual searching were working beautifully until 2 days ago. Now when I search using either method, options pop up that are appropriate, but after selecting what I want, Roku takes a long time to show the options for streaming and then freezes so I cannot select one. Eventually it just returns to the first screen of options and freezes again or restarts itself. I have unplugged and restarted Roku multiple times to no avail. Software is up-to-date.

i have another Roku, older, on which the function still works perfectly. I hate to take the nuclear option and wipe Roku and restart but this is a serious impediment. Any solutions out there?

Please help us with the below information to better understand what you're experiencing:

  1. Are you using the voice search through the Roku voice remote or the free Roku mobile app?
  2. What is the software OS/version?(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  3. What are you seeing on screen? Can you provide a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing?

Thank you @RokuMary-F. I tried today and got search to work. It was not a perfect experiment as the first thing I did was revert my Theme to one I had used prior. The new dynamic spring theme loaded (I think the Default Theme Pack?) a few days ago, not requested by anyone here so automatic? Nonetheless, when I went back to the good old Space theme, search works well. We also installed the app on our phones as a work around pending a solution so we have that utility now, 

I consider this resolved but am unlikely to change theme anytime soon!
