Roku not recognizing my location

What does the Roku system use the ZIP CODE information you provide in the systems info tab?

why does ROKU even ask for it if it is not used to determine local channels

Re: roku not recognizing my location

Hi @Natgk,

Welcome, and thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!

We're glad to assist you with your inquiry. Please be advised that the antenna is specifically designed for use with a television receiver (TV) and is the one to receive over-the-air broadcast television signals from a television station. Television reception is dependent on the antenna as well as the transmitter. If you have an antenna connected to your Roku TV and the list of "over-the-air" channels you see in the Live TV Channel Guide does not match your area, that is when we advise you to try entering your zip code in the Settings menu on your Roku TV. After you enter your zip code, you need to set up the live TV input again and let your Roku TV re-scan the "over-the-air" channels. You can check here for more details.

Kind regards,

Eunice
