@Strega thank you. I will try this for a few days. If it works I'll mark it in community board. So far so good!
@Strega you nailed it. I was gonna wait and test longer but its absolutely working. Funny enough, it seems the screensaver forces some channels, like youtube, to cue another commercial when you re-engage, which i imagine increases add revenue greatly. But i'm curious though, do you know why a screensaver with ads would affect channel functionality on this device? Also, is there a way to increase the time roku can be idle without reverting to a Screensaver? Many thanks, you just saved me like 20mins a day!
@AvsGunnar yep strega nailed. Thanks again for your help as well with the details, it is absolutely working.
For the most part, you can increase the idle time before a Screensaver is activated by changing the Start time under the Settings/Screensaver Start Time settings. (the higher the number, (30mins maximum), the longer it can remain idle before Screensaver activates. "Disable" will never activate Screensaver.
However, the settings you configure in the Roku Settings are default/fallback settings or when a Channel/app is silent on these settings. Some Channels/apps can override these Roku settings in their Channel/app coding.
