When I click on to watch Starz live it acts like it wants to go live but doesn’t
Cinemax either. This has been going on for four days, no one to call for help, it sucks, nobody at Roku seems to notice or care. Then they wonder why folks don’t renew….
I always use the livestreams when I watch TV while working. This really pisses me off, the lack of attention or a solution from Roku.
Cinemax live stream back, Starz and MGM+ still not working

Yeah, we did this multiple times. This was a problem on Roku’s end. It was eventually fixed but took almost a week. First the Cinemax stream was back, a couple days later Starz and MGM+ was back. I know most folks probably just watch the on demand stuff, but since we are paying for the channels, I wish (Roku) would be a little more prompt about noticing a problem and fixing it.
Hi, @Douggman99.
Thanks for responding. We completely understand your input. Rest assured that we'll share this with the team.
In the meantime, it's also important to note that most content and apps on the Roku streaming platform are being provided and maintained by the channel providers themselves.
If you are having issues within a specific app, we highly recommend directly coordinating this with the channel provider themselves for further assistance.
In the meantime, we're glad to hear your update. Feel free to reach out if there's anything else we can be of assistance with or create a new post for different concerns. You may also visit our support website for additional troubleshooting resources.
Regards,
Carly
See, this is what I’m talking about. Roku giving a non explanation and slyly trying to blame the channels. The problem wasn’t just one channel’s live stream not working, it was 3 different channels with no live stream ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and FOR DAYS. All were pay channels-Cinemax, Starz and MGM+. Clearly this was a Roku issue. There’s no one in tech support that even knew what I was talking about. They sounded like they were in Thailand or something with an accent so thick I could hardly understand her. I feel Roku should give me a credit or free month or something. I realize stuff happens, but this should have been an easy fix. Frustrating that the issue went on and on…..

On the Roku app channels Starz, Cinemax and MGM+ there are 2 live streams for each channel. On all three apps(channels) the live feeds didn’t work at all for at least close to a week. My problem is not that there was a glitch and they didn’t work, my problem is that there was no one in tech support that knew what I was talking about or how to fix it. This should have been something fixed within hours or a day or two at most. Of course I was able to access these before, no error message was shown-when I clicked on the livestream it just took me back to the menu for whichever station I was on. Since the app says on the main menu Starz on the Roku channel(or Cinemax on the Roku channel etc), I’d say they are in The Roku Channel. Again, the livestreams for all three..Cinemax, Starz and MGM+ were all out at the same time for about a week. Thankfully they work now.
