Did you ever get this resolved? My TCL TV does the exact same thing.

Hi, @TreySpooner65

Greetings, and welcome to the Roku Community.

We understand that you're having an issue with video quality on YouTube-purchased content. For this instance, we recommend setting the video quality to your preferred quality by navigating to the video player, selecting Settings > Click Quality > Select your preferred video quality.

If the mentioned step above doesn't resolve the issue, we recommend reaching out to YouTube's support directly since they'll be able to assist you further with this. Channel providers on Roku build and maintain their own channels and content on the Roku platform.

You can reach them at YouTube Support.

Best wishes,
Kash

Nope, YouTube was no help either.

Nope, YouTube was no help either. There is no support for anything anymore, they just take your money and shrug and point to someone else when you have an issue.

You just have to marvel at the simplicity of avoiding all blame. First Roku points the finger at the channel provider and tells you that it's their responsibility to fix because they write the channel. Then that channel provider does the exact same thing and says that it's Roku's problem because it's on their device. This way nobody is responsible for fixing anything and it's the customer that gets screwed. Zero accountability.
